running boards

i am thinking about removing my boards to give the hoe a smoother look. does anyone have a pic or two of one without the boards?

check that one out... it definitely makes the truck appear longer

if i did this will i have some bolt holes showing or residue to remove. will the paint underneath stand out as newer looking.
