Hello, this is my first time doing a thread. So please bare with me .I just bought a 01 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 with 128xxxmiles on it. While driving to work after having it for one week, I notice how my tahoe won't idle past 2000rpm but it drives just fine. But when in full stop, I can rev it past 2000rpm and up. I replace spark plugs, wires, clean maf, change air filter and plan on doing a the fuel filter this weekend. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Not fully understanding your question but from what it sounds like is that while under a load the vehicle will not rev above 2000 rpm, in other words a loss of power, if so chances are you may have a restricted catalytic converter

Thank you for that, I will look into that this weekend. Do you think It might be a bad 02 senor that is causing the converter to be restricted?

Its possible, but over time and with age and mileage the intense heat causes the materials in the converters to melt down causing a restriction, but again if you have an o2 sensor stuck in a rich correction state it will also cause them to restrict. However once restricted just changing the o2 sensor isnt going to fix it you will need to change out the cat converters
