Rocker Panels starting to rust

I started to notice that my 2003 Tahoe the rocker panels are rusting out under the rear doors on both sides. Being all white in color is a real eye sore and seeking info on possibly a DIY fix.

GM SUV's are known for this so just seeing what other forum members have done considing we all love our Hoe's.
