Ive heard that big wheels have the tendency to make you loose mpgs, and mess up your tranny plus alignment. But im still getting big wheels not 22s but the 08 factory 20s.

here i looked online some more.. cons would be extra strain on your hub bearings, higher cost of tires, and higher risk of wheel damage, ride quality isnt as great, possible tire rubbing, slower acceleration, watching out for pot holes while your driving, greater chance of theft ...
not all this may be true in your application but here are some..

I'm running 24's with no problems at all (in terms of rubbing). I changed bushing and bearings before installing the rims. I have noticed my brake pads wear faster. I live in FL so the pothole thing is not that big of a concern (I lived in NY for most of my life, so I DO KNOW ABOUT POTHOLES).

ive been riding on 22,s w/ 33,s for 3 years now and i love em. i never upgraded to big brakes either havent had any problems. one thing i did get though was a hyperteck programmer to calibrate the speedo and it gives some added power as well. oh and for the brakes i recommend you do the rears properly as most people dont, or they dont know that most shops dont do em right. just adjust the rears from time to time. the rears are just as important as the fronts, thats my .2 cents
