Hi everybody

I am new to this forum and to driving a tahoe. I have an LT 2008 and I love it. The only thing that really is disappointing in this vehicle is the "resume" button. When pressed, the car behaves like a mad bull. I cant understand why the vehicle does not speed gradually to the previous speed saved!!

Is there a solution to this mode?

Thanks

Guss

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Secondly, I am doubful that there is a solution in regards to altering the vehicle's behavior when the resume button is pressed. My GMT 400 Chevrolet Tahoe behaves the same way though, so I know just what you are talking about.

If the vehicle accelerates back to the previously set speed too fast, then simply accelerate the vehicle yourself at a slower rate and wait until you are closer to the previously set speed before you press resume.

Hopefully this helps? Take care!

Every vehicle I've owned with cruise control (from domestic to European to Japanese) worked the same way as you described. None of them would gradually resume your set speed unless you were already close to it.
