Have any of you needed to reprogram your ECU & ABS module when you put your 24"+ wheels on. I know the tire monitors can be programmed easily, but this is something else. I read it on a service bulletin in the GM service info at work today. Also it IS true that GM cannot program the ECU, ABS ect. for higher than 22". I am going to do the reprogramming tomorrow on my spare time @ work. I'll let everyone know how it went. Later.

The reprogram is a good idea. It adjust things for the stabililty control, abs etc.

GM won't or can't adjust for more than 22" but other people have had it done with aftermarket programmers.

Yeah, I have 24's but I'm just gonna program it for the 285/45 22 tires, since that is the biggest size GM offers for programming that stuff. Just wondering, what kinds of aftermarket programmers are there & how much do they run for? I'm just doing it this way because it won't cost me anything, plus it's better that just running all the maps & stuff for the factory 17's when I'm running 24's.

Well, it ended up that I didn't have to reprogram because the bulletin excluded 2008 tahoes, so I guess it's ok.
