SO long story short last year the compressor burnt out. I ordered new shot air compressor from Arnott and replaced the rear shocks too -about 100k miles. (thinking dry-rot shocks were leaking and possibly cause of burnt out compressor. Plus the warrenty on compressor was void w/o new shocks)
All seemed pretty goo as I plug in the compressor and it fired up. Good. But honestly I wasn't super convinced the shocks were actually filling up. I barely drove it last year and now its back to being my main ride. My buddy looked at it the other day and as the compressor it running he said he didn't think the shocks were filling (as we watched them).
Upon further investigation there is a port on the compressor that is air is coming out of- no hose is attached. There is also this clear tube on the compressor that the arnott guy said don't worry about- no need to hook it up on the new one. Well I was experimenting last night and put that clear tube on the port with the air and BAM air was pumping in those shocks like no body's business. But really really fast. I unhooked it out of fear. Anyway, please look at pics
ok hopefully yall can see the pics I attached. Yellow arrow showing port on compressor that currently does not have a tube attached but air is coming out of...
and also the cord that is currently hooked up to the shocks
and the clear tube with hasn't been hooked up to anything for a year- but when plugged on to port with air filled up shocks
This seems like a pretty basic a+b=c...BUT I don't want to do anything stupid and burt the shocks or overwhelm the compressor! Cost too much!
