So I'm driving to my 10:00 class and it's snowing, crusing at about 50-55 and my computer in the speedo comes up and says "Reduced Power" then my tahoe just drops rpms rapidly and was idling at like 300 rpms, (sounded like I had cams on it lol) i couldnt give it any throttle, if i pushed the throttle rpms stayed the same.....called my friend that works for a dealership and told me to turn it off for 10 mins and turn it back on..and everything seems to fine...does anyone know what this could be caused by?

The "Reduced Engine" msg can be tripped by a few things. The most common is an out of range tps reading and excessive coolant temp reading. I've seen a lot of trucks with a bad tps connector that sets the "Reduced Engine Power" msg. Did you throw a ses light also?
