I got that messege today driving the yukon to church. After getting on the interstate and merged to the roadway. It gave it to mme, Reduced engine power and had only like 1/4th the power but just before was a WOT run. Today was the first time since tuesday I even started it, does that have somthing to do with it????? But I pulled over, restarted it and the messege cleared, has not done it again, but Just asking what it might be??? Since the messege is not there would I still be able to have the code read at autozone. Or does the code have to be active???

DTC codes are stored. Is the engine light on? Even if it's not, it may still be stored in the PCM, and a scanner should be able to pick it up. Have you been messing under the hood at all? Did you spray lots of water when you were cleaning it the last few days? Maybe got some gas somewhere out of the norm, or got some bad gasoline? Who knows...definitely best to get it checked out tho.

Not I. It went to the dealer last week for my driver window and to have the little AC fan replaced above my head. But thats about it. I dont touch this truck these days other than to go out to eat or somthing. Silverado does the dirty work now.

WTF! Reduced Engine Power??? Since you took it to the dealer how many times did you drive the truck before that? And are you sure you didn't clean under the hood from the time you took those really good pics of your trucks clean? Lol

Ok this might sound crazy but my car did the eact same thing , i was merging i steped on the gas to pick up speed and it just said reduced power and i limped it back to the dealer and they had it for 3 hours, and they replaced the throttle cable and the gas pedal and it never gave me problems crazyyyy!!!!

I have seen weird indicators like that, but restarting clears them.

Well. I have driven it all week, cause my siverado has blown second gear, going in tommarrow for its 4l80E conversion. But driving the kon all week, Pulled my trailer just fine, although I dont know if its the gears or what, But the silverado pulls it much easier, not sure why, same engine. But its been just fine, if it does it again, then dealer. But now its run better than ever

Sometimes a Stablitrack occurence w/ trigger a Reduced Power indication. Make sure all of your tires are close to the same pressure.
