Rear Wiper motor no go

I have an 03 hoe, rear windshield wipers won't work, I have heard it try though. I have checked fuses. In addition the rear window defogger does not work. Not sure if it is related but there was a yukon owner who discribed this exact same problem on this site. He was supplied with an electrical schematic and it was helpful but not the answer I was looking for. Any ideas....thanks

My 02 hoe rear wiper will barely move. If it does move it will stop half way. It is a PIA when it will not return to the stop location. I think it is just a weak motor. I have not taken the back apart at this time, but in a couple of weeks I will try to replace the motor with a new one. I have not had any problems with the defogger.

I was looking at the other thread also as I have the very same problem with the wiper motor (defroster seems OK though).

I have not had the chance yet to take it apart, but it could be something as simple as the ground connection for the motor, or the connector plug. Probably wishful thinking on my part, but I do know that my Tahoe has been pretty picky about having certain connections being clean.

Wiper motor inop

I received a tip that there are a couple of switches that cutout the wiper and defogger if the back window and/or the liftgate are not completely closed. I am told that if they are dirty or the contacts or messed up then it would cause a similar problem to my own. I will be looking for them today. Thanks for you replies.

[2003 black tahoe]

Both my rear wiper and my defogger weren't working on my 03 tahoe. I found the big electrical connector at the top right hand corner under the rear window. It was full of dirt from leaves. I cleaned it out and everything worked again. I guess the dirt caused a bad ground.
