Rear wiper issue

Hi all, Don in Omaha with a 2009 Tahoe. I hope someone can help with my issue, can't seem to find an answer. The problem is the rear wiper. It will work on intermittent. When you move the switch to continuous, it also runs intermittent not continuous. It will run continuous when you use the rear washer button. Any ideas on how to get the continuous part to run are appreciated!!
