Hi everyone,

I have an 04 Z71 that the rear heat went out in a few weeks ago. Research showed that the control module was more than likely the culprit, so I ordered one and installed it today. I went through the calibration method I found (pull HVAC/ECAS fuse during installation, start truck for a minute, shut truck off, reinstall fuse, start truck and try heat) and it still blew cold. So I searched other calibration methods and found another (pull fuse, start truck, shut truck off, reinstall fuse, start truck, close door, run for 1 min, shut truck off again, open and close door, start again, try controls) and now it only blows hot. Controls do nothing for temperature. Can still control blower speed and direction, but nothing for temp. Any ideas what I did wrong? TIA everyone. Hope to hear back soon.

Further digging has shown that the temp control blend door actuator has completely locked up in an over traveled position :/ damn near had to pry it off with a screwdriver from all the tension built up in it. I guess I'm looking for a new one of those now.

Ok so I got a new blend door actuator and the first thing it did (after another attempt at calibration) was over travel and jam up the blend door again AND NOW I can't control blower direction either. Thoughts from anyone? I tried both calibration methods I listed above again. I'm at a complete loss.
