rear door speakers stopped working

after i installed an aftermarket head unit in my 04 tahoe, the rear door speakers stopped working. i spoke with one of the mechanics at the dealer, and he said it is a common occurance, but couldn't tell me how to fix it. Help!!!

Only thing I can think of that's a common occurance is wiring up the harness wrong. Double check your wiring schematics.

It's entirely possibly the harness you bought wires up differently than the colors or wire placement of the harness of the HU.

They shouldn't just quit if wired correctly, it's a physical impossibility. You'll get some sort of sound out of them.
