I just bought a 96 Tahoe with 137k on it. I noticed that the passenger rear door light located on the panel right below the armrest will not go off. I have checked fuses, although wouldn't a blown fuse prevent it from coming on? The damn thing will not go out no matter what I try. Is there enough draw on this to possibly drain my battery?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, if left on it will drain your battery. So when you open a door in your truck, it doesn't turn on all of the lights, just the one at the door? If it's just the one at the door when it is opened, then I would say that the door light switch pin (can't quite remember what they are called) is the problem (must be staying grounded even after the door is closed)
If all of your lights turn on no matter what door is open, then I don't know what to tell you about your problem, that wouldn't make sense to me for it to stay on and not the others. I would just take that bulb out until I figured out the problem instead of getting a dead battery!! Good luck and keep us informed if you solve your problem or notice something else!!
