I tired today to remove the rear chevy emblem over the rear view camera and with no luck. I took the rear inside cover off and saw what i thought were the 2 bolts that hold it on and i turned them and all i got was a loud cracking noise and then nothing at all. never could get the nut off, i figured it broke off the emblem on that one side. Anyone have any suggestions?

That one doesn't come off, unless you want to then have holes to fix. Otherwise, you may have cracked or loosened a part of the nut/glue holding it on, but if it isn't loose, no biggie.

Use a blow dryer, start at one side, use an old credit card and start to slide it under the emblem as it heats up, use a screw driver to pry it off, the credit card is to keep you from scatching the paint....the emblem is a two piece emblem, gold bowtie part is 3M sticker to to chrome bowtie, which is 3M sticker to the rear panel...

But if you remove it I hope you have something to replace it. There are factory melted holes behind the bowtie to hold two little tabs on the bowtie!

There are no bolts holding it on. Just 3M tape
After it is removed use some goo gone and a rag to clean up any tape left over.
