My brother had an issue with his 96 Yukon the other day. He had to apply forceful braking, and the rear left brake line burst. We found the source of the leak, and its on the metal line just by the gas tank. I checked the site but I wasn't able to find anyone who has seemed to have to change the rear lines before. Dose anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Go to the local parts store and purchase lines and a bender to form them yourself. It is cheaper and easy to do. But I would make sure that when you do, you clean out the rest of the lines, proportioning valve, etc to make sure that whatever caused it to burst doesn't ruin your new lines.

i had this problem on my 98. i was able to replace the line with just a metal brake line from the part store. i will say though instead of dropping the tank and just replacing the damaged area i ran a new line from the rearend where it splits off up to a factory coupling about even with the drivers door. when i removed the old line i was glad i replaced it all. it was corroded and week, looked like it had been leaking for years but had only just started to leak when i replaced it,accident waiting to happen. just make sure they give you the right diameter line with the correct thread on the fittings took me three trips in my wifes car before they gave me the right one
