hello, does anyone know what could be the culprit of my 2001 tahoe rear ac not working, thanks

I've got an '02 Tahoe LS, and about a year ago, the rear a/c quit working all together; the a/c would not respond when I tried turning on with the overhead controls. I checked all fuses, and even did some initial testing on control switches; no luck. For kicks, I removed the rear panel covering the a/c unit, and disconnected/reconnected connections. It worked! I subscribe to the Mitchell1 OnDemand online automotive repair website, and while I was researching my problem, one of the recommendations was to try disconnecting and reconnecting connections. It may be that dust collected inbetween connections, or for whatever reason, the connectivity was lost. Hope this helps.
