Hi Im new here and hoping I am posting in the right spot.

I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with rear ac and the lines to the rear ac are leaking freon from the lines running to the back. It looks like it is leaking from a adapter under the passengers side doors. Is there a easy fix for now since money is tight... Also would freon leak if I keep the rear AC off. From what I can tell there is no AC leak for the front AC.

Freon will leak reguardless.

I would bet the oring in the adapter is bad..... Freon is $10/ can at walmart, you can get a case of 12 off amazon for about 60 with shipping.....

Pretty sure it is since when I filled it the gases came from right there only.... Looked like a cloud of smoke and could hear the hissing from there... the rest of the line looks clean too thats the only spot thats really dirty idk why though lol
