Rear AC but no HEAT

ok on my 97 tahoe when i have the front panel turned to HEAT, and i turn the rear vents on the Rear AC comes on ... there's no seperate hot/cold controls for the rear, only the hi-med-low controls. so right now if it's cold outside and i try to push hot air in the back seat, it's ice cold...

Any ideas on a fix ?

(my heater does NOT work very well, i need a diff thermostat because the truck runs at like 140* and my heater never really gets hot)

i may be wrong but i do not thank that the rear is heat i thank it is only for the ac i have a 99 and mine is just rear ac but if you put it on feet it will blow out the bottom behind the center console

I think branden is correct.... Get the thermostat replaced and it will work better....
