Random misfire

I HAVE MY 96 HOE THROWING A RANDOM MISFIRE. I JUST CHANGED THE PLUGS WIRES AND THE CAP AND ROTOR. THE LIGHT IS STILL READING THE SAME CODE. WHAT MAY IT ME????? I ALSO CHANGED THE CAM SENSOR INSIDE THE DISTRIBUTOR.... COULD THAT MEAN I NEED A NEW DIST???? CAN IT WEAR ???? IM NOT CIRTAN ON THE MILES OF THE ENGINE BUT THE MILES ON THE BODY IS 249.000, PLZ HELP

Check the "spider" injector assembly for leakage (FPR is notorious).... Look into the intake and see if you see any clean spots, also you could inspect the plugs and see what color they have turned. Testing the fuel pressure would be good also.

Ok. When i changed the plugs there was one that was black looked like dry black dust. ASL other plugs looked great. I well be changing fuel filter in the morning. Let u kno how ur goes

Well the black could be a fuel leak with raw fuel into that cylinder, could be a weak ignition causing excess fuel buildup, could be low compression, will need to do some checks....

i did the same stuff, changed the injectors to the better style instead of poppet, new plugs wires distributor, distributor cap, egr valve, fuel pump, only to find it was the intake gaskets, while i had the intake off i yanked the heads which is easy by that point and had the heads done, machine shop said i had two slightly bent valves, water in the cylinders from bad intake gaskets will do this. now the truck is an animal
