Hello-
I saw someone else post the fact that thier overhead dome light is raised causing an issue if you want to install an aftermarket DVD player. I purchased one from Circuit City taking advantage of the free installation and after they saw the rasied dome light they said that they could not install it.

Anyone else experience this issue???

Thanks!

I had an issue with my aftermarket DVD player. the issue was that the first dude that attempted to install it did not know $hit and reversed a ground and a power wire and it burnt out a Electroinc control module and a body control module.

Is your rear AC control unit part of your dome light?

I've installed a few OH systems in the NBS trucks with no problems. You have the remove the domelight, which is no big deal. Depending on the unit, I either make a custom shroud or trim the raised area on the headliner. As for fco-gonzo's installation, it sounds like the installer tried tapping power from the a/c circuit from the rear controls:nono: Try to steer away from the box stores like circuit and Best buy when it comes to installs that require mods. Your best bet is a locally well-respected custom shop.

Thanks everyone for the responses...Gonzo, no the AC controls are not part of the dome light.

I guess I'll have to pay the big bucks to have a custom shop modify it. Any other responses would be appreciated.

Thanks again.
