Radio swap 2003 to 2001

Will a 2003 radio with 6 disc changer plug in to a 2001

No. The 03 up radios used the Class II serial data to communicate with other modules throughout the vehicle. Not only will it not fit, but it won't even turn on.

Thanks for the reply. Oh well, wasn't sure and I was trying to find the easiest way to get a disc changer.
