question on painting bowtie

I did mine black, just scuffed it, cleaned it with a degreasing pad, shot a couple coats of paint on it, let it dry then clear coated it.

Looks great if you do it right, I used real car paint on it not spray paint.

umm well what i did, was sanded it down with 320, primed it with 4 coats of 2K, sanded down with 400 until smooth, painted it with 3 coats of paint, then 4 coats of clear, ovcourse i dont think your going to bust out your spray gun and do all of this, but they have rattle can clear and paint too, so that could work.. im not to crazy about rattle can primer, but if you do Get 2k or HIGH build tho. dont get self etching primer, that sucks...

Yeah the only reason I used real car paint was because I paint cars sometimes and I was painting a black car one day and threw it in.

yea, i would never take out my gun and waste aall that paint and **** on a little bowtie. but i was already in the process of painting something, just like you..

since its such a small piece you should be able to use the car paint touch up rattle cans. still a rattle can but its better than generic spray paint.

that or if you have one of the small touch up guns or an air brush you could mix up a little paint and use it.
