Question about new key programming on a 08 Tahoe..

I recently lost a set of keys...I ordered a replacement key and fob. I have the programing instructions. I know that when I reprogram the fobs...the lost fob will no longer work. My question is that...when I reprogram the key....will my lost key still be able to start the truck? Is there a way to erase the key memory for the ignition?

no the lost key will still remain programmed to your truck. the only thing you could do is recode the ignition cylinder with a different cut key. so the lost key will not turn the cylinder.
