Hello all, I have a 2008 Tahoe LTZ, very nice ride do doubt about it.

Buuuuuuut, things just seem to be falling apart so I am checking with all other owners no matter the year, to see if you are having the same issues.

1) At 37,000 miles and for no apparent reason, my dashboard cracked in three places. From the windshield to the very front. After an initial threat that the warrantee expired chevy replaced it.

2) My side molding just left the car and was holding on by very little adhesive. Chevy re-glued it. It has since fallen off again.

3) My back window washer hose just stopped working and spraying

4) My drivers side mirror electronics stopped working, so it no longer opens and closes.

5) All of my door handles have individually broken. When you go to open the door half the handle leaves the car so you have to baby the dam thing to open it.

6) My back seat captains chair arm became unfastened and has to be
continuously retighten.

7) My passenger side door lock will not electronically unlock any longer

8) My stabilitrak stopped working and the vehicle just quits on me.

Don't know if I should feel outta place by wanting my 45,000 dollar vehicle to hold up better than this or not. Well okay, it really pisses me off that its falling apart like this.

Anyone else having these type of problems and what else can I expect to happen?

Help each other??

I posted about my cracked dash and had no response either. I have read that this is normal occurence with these trucks. I bought my 09 Tahoe Hybrid Aug, 12th and while cleaning the inside yesterday, it cracked in the very middle. I was shocked! I've had the biggest piece of crap cars and never had this happen before.
After reading online last night, its a rampet situation. As a old Marine, one trick that always worked was super glue and baking soda. The problem is color matching. Of course it will be white when applied. You will need to "lightly sand" the area to make it even, but everything I've ever used this on, its held.
Mine is white w/ grey interior. I am thinking about just going to the dealership, bypassing the service desk and going to the paint shop and ask for a color match for my dash. I did it for touch up paint and they were more than happy to help and it saved me $22 for what they sell (its 1.5 ounce)...
If you know if another option, will you please let me know? I'll do the same if I come across another option.
Sincerely,
Michael Shaw
BTW...Did you get a carfax? If you did, then your having really bad luck. If you did not, I would invest the money myself just to see if yours was listed as a total loss. MAYBE...Just maybe it could help you if it comes back with negative issues. At least you would know where you stood. The lemon law would be in your hands then.
Mine is in immaculate shape. A military buddy (a corpsmen assigned to my unit in several hostil engagements) worked at the dealership I bought mine. I told him what I wanted and he said be patient and "Ive got your back". Three weeks later, he said get up here. Not only did he have them pay off my 05 Trailblazer, the Tahoe is LOADED with every option there is. I owed $6,700. I walked out of my bank with a check for $17,988 and that took care of everything. They paid off my car, put new tires ($1,445) on the tahoe, drained every fluid and put in new, recharged the ac, took the hybrid battery out and re-placed it with a brand New one, changed a mechanical issue with the stering column and repaired a micro cut in the leather. He introduced me to the owner and had already told him about me, my military, my cancer and that I foster children. The owner then said I will do any and everything as long as I don't loose $20,000. I had it at $19,100 before I left their. I even had them replace the BOSE speakers and NAV DVD.
Next time you go to buy, remember this. They can loose up to so much on 5 cars per yr. $100,000 is a tax write off. I HAD NO IDEA. Find a friend who works in a dealership who is friends with the owner.
I hope this doesnt piss you off. I'm telling you as a FYI. The last car I bought, I lost $9k b/c I am a straight shooter and do not go for BS. I was taken big time
Good Luck!
