First off, I'm a newbie and so far I really like this forum.

I have a question regarding suspension for my 07

Have had it since late 06.. have done lots of mods (long tube headers, magnaflow exhaust, PCM tune) It's pretty quick but hey, it's still a truck and feels like a truck so I don't drive stupid with it. Just like to get up and pass people when needed and mainly just cruise.

Anyway, I've been fighting the notion of lowering this truck for quite some time (just something not right with the wheel well space). I've been reading on here quite a bit about different people's experience with the aftermarket lowering kits out there and quite frankly I'm scared of the poor ride quality. I'm running factory 20's and like the ride right now..just not happy with the look.

I've been looking on here for discussions about the suspension on the police package tahoes and I haven't ran into anything. (perhaps it's out there already...but I can't find it anyhow)

Is it possible to have the beefed up suspension found on the police units installed someplace?

I was thinking of looking to Hotchkis and looking for coil overs or something...but have no clue what sort of "drop" any of that would do if anything..

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?...

Thanks!

YEP!!!! call pedders, they are a forum sponsor on here and they provide the suspension for thr pursuit Tahoes for the police force.
I have it on my Suburban and Tye has it on his Tahoe. Rides like a dream, you wont be disapointed...
Full kit comes with fr and rr shocks and springs, fr swaybar endlinks, fr and rr swaybar bushes and bumpstops for the rr.
Check out the two posts one is pedderized Tahoe and the other is pedderized burb.
Good luck

Other good companies you can look at tha are common on this forum are Belltech and McGaughys! Theyy provide bigger drops which could be more bang for the buck for you, can go 2/2,2/3, 2/4, 3/3, 3/4, 3/5, 4/4 and 4/5.
Fron number is the front drop and the number after the slash is the rear drop just in case.
Eibach, DJM and Ground Force also have good kits but they aren't used much aboard this forum so you may not have many tips about them.
I suggest Anti-Roll/Sway bars too, tehy will make your Tahoe drive like a small coupe without all the body roll. Eibach and Belltech make thee cheaper ones but quality ones too.

Oh and I'm in Mckinney ... it's a really really small world it would seem based on the posts in that thread.
