Vehicle: 2004 Z71 Tahoe w/5.3 flex fuel
I have been battling a P0446 code for a few months now. I have researched everywhere on this site and see a lot of people replacing their vent solenoid so I figured I would give it a try since it is cheap enough. I also went ahead and changed the gas cap. I cleared the code at O'Reilly and was good for a few weeks before e code came back. I then changed the purge solenoid on the intake manifold and pulled the battery cable to clear the code. It it came back on right away. At this point I didn't want to throw more parts at it so I took it to my mechanic with a Tech II scanner. He tested and found that the fuel tank pressure sensor was bad. He changed it and cleared the code. It has been off for 4 days but came on again this morning. What the heck could be causing this? It is not a leak code so I would assume it is not the gas cap or a broken or cracked line. I have also blown through all of the vacuum lines as I have had them off to make sure nothing is clogged.
When it came on today I had driven from my house to a car wash about 2 miles away. It wasn't on until I restarted the car to leave the wash bay. Could moisture be causing this?
Help!!!!!!
