Oil Pressue increases with acceleration

Newbie here....great forum as well.

I was out of town for months and the wife did not change the oil.....6,000 miles w/o a change. Got it done and noticed that the oil pressue guage jumps up to 60-65 every time she accelerates (2000 rpm+)

What gives? Is this normal and I have not noticed before? or do I need to get it checked out.

any help is appreciated.

Welcome! Don't think you have anything to worry about; oil pressure will rise to a certain degree as engine rpm rises. Perfectly normal.
