So while I'm Rollin around town with my big ass **** eating grin on (I own a Tahoe), I take turns and the steering wheel rattles from within. Its feels and sounds like it's coming from the column itself or possibly from the steering assembly(I don't know what's down there yet; haven't looked) Anyway, I've looked around about the problem casually online and even asked offhand to one of the salesmen at the dealership while I was there picking up a new lug nut (for my Tahoe) about it. From what I gather, its a fairly common problem with GM pickups and SUVs and what-not. What I'm really getting at, is if anyone else has dealt with this before I really start gettin after the issue. I'm bein really lazy and this is much more fun than climbing under my truck or doin an exhaustive fact finding mission on this forum or google. So yeah, anyone? Anyone?

Sounds like the intermediate shaft. Its an easy fix, just take it from me, dont move the seat too far back to repair as it will stretch the wires to the air bag sensor under the drivers seat and give you a "service air bag" light all the time.

That's what I gather, except for the wiring bit (great to know, thx); was it strictly a part replacement when u dealt with it? Im under the impression that something in the column (probably the intermediate shaft, iono) may just need to be repacked with grease. Can u give me any more deets? also, thx again for replying so promptly
