Greetings,

I have a 03 Yukon XL with the Bose system in it. All of a sudden I have no bass. What I have done so far is checked the 30 amp fuse under the hood, and that looks good. I have checked my radio settings, and all is good. I have checked that I have sound coming from the front, and rear speakers, but no bass so it sounds like crap. What I need help with is is this an amp problem, or a sub problem? I did take some of the console apart and located the amp, but did not see a sub anywhere must be lower in the console?

Any direction you guys can give me would be great!

Thanks

Yes, it was the amp. I went to ebay and bought a new one for $240. If your sub is not working then you should be able to tell because there will be no bass at all.

The denali may have the enhanced sound system which the amp is a lot more cash. Good luck.

Make sure that you have checked the obvious which is make sure the radio is not set to only the front speakers, and make sure nobody is controlling the radio from the back. If that is the case you will see headphones on your radio display.
