Hey everyone,
just wanted to pop in and say hello, i recently saved a `97 tahoe 4dr from my mother that bought a new ford expedition. the tahoe needs a little bit of work but its a `97 with 86,000 miles on it! and its bone stock (for right now) couldnt pass it up. and im currently rebuilding my motor in my eclipse but im going to sell that and use some of the money from that to fix up the tahoe and turn it into something different hopefully. See i never see any boosted tahoes here in tampa...let alone florida. but i have a few questions
my first question:
the headliner needs to be redone, now i`ve done a couple of headliners (one being my own eclipse) and i know how to do it but can i get the fabric from a fabric shop? its a different color then my eclipse so i dont know if i can find the color thats in my tahoe (its that greyish leather color vs. the light tan color in my eclipse.)
Also...since i`m going to be doing performance mods to the tahoe, im looking into some Vette wheels...now....i know i can get 20s or so for the same price but what years vette wheels can fit the tahoes IF they fit at all?
And has anyone ever had the chance to turbo the `98 and down tahoes? I have not called the guys at STS turbos yet but i did send them am email about tuning options since we have a lot of speed shops here in tampa, fl.

Any advice would be great on these questions i have! BTW sweet web site i learned A LOT from this website! Thanx everyone! (sorry this thread is so long lol)

I think vettes are 5 lugs and Tahoe is 6lug, as for boosted theres one on here and its twin turbo SEXY I drool every time I see it, Check it out in the galary section. My friend had replica corvette wheels on his avalanche but they were custom so I think if you look around you will find 6 lug replicas.

Well thats the thing....its not 4x4 so i dont think its 6lug....although i dont know much about it i havent taken off the center caps to see what size lugs they are (ive heard 4x2s were 5lug and the 4x4s are 6lug). But im still thinking about keeping my Eclipse or just keep the Tahoe (cant have both...i can only have one which sux)

4x2s are 5 lug.. 5 on 5.. and that should be the same exact rim on the vettes.. size wise anyways - i don't know depth wise, but it seems like it should fit - and if you are gonna be turning it into a pro-street type vehicle - def. think about getting a better rear-end - auburn or something
