Love this vehicle that I bought on Saturday, but it has a complete lack of acceleration within the past day. I was on the interstate running about 70 and went to accelerate around a vehicle, but it was dead slow. I'm talking 70-75 took maybe 5 seconds. There seems to be a quiet whine in the engine upon acceleration as well. Does anybody have any suggestions? Or is this normal for the stock setup. Thanks

Welcome to the neighborhood!

We need a little more information about the vehicle. Year, engine size, etc. Aftermarket upgrades of any kind, and if you know, maintenance history. It could be that the truck just needs a proper servicing with new plugs, wires, distributor cap, etc.

Be sure to also check the tranny fluid to ensure that it is at the proper level and is not burnt. You can tell it is burnt if it is brown and stinks. It should be red and not have a burnt smell to it.

Start there and let us know what you have...
