New Suburban

Well I have been looking to pickup up a trailer but hadn't had anything to tow with but my dad was looking for a new tahoe and I was able to convince him to upgrade to a 3/4 ton suburban so I could pull my trailer about 7 times a year.

acura tsx with a full jdm euro r exterior conversion and lots of other mods. I can post pics if you want.

the 3/4 ton burb looks nice. the burb must be geared way differntly than the ltz hoe i have cause my truck was struggling to move 5klb trailer with camping gear.

most likely 3.73, but remember the 2500 has a 6.0 engine while your tahoe has the 5.3.

you probably have 3.42, but i dont remember as i think the ltx came with 3.73. not sure.

yeah the the 3/4 ton with the 6.0 handles the trailer (around 7,500lbs) pretty well other than the poor gas millage going up hills but that was known when choosing a gas tow vehicle over a diesel one. To bad they don't offer the silverado diesel engine in the 3/4 ton as an option cause it would have been nice.

This is exactly why I'm planning to pick up a used 2007 Denali to tow my enclosed trailer while GM gets its head out and puts the forthcoming (4Q09) 4.5L Duramax in the SUVs.

A Diesel Denali would be awesome.

heck diesel denali or diesel suburban I don't care which is first just something with a diesel in an SUV would be great cause personally not really a pickup fan at all.

not sure i would like it in a denali, but i would take a diesel tahoe, burban, yukon or what ever any day of the week.

even with diesel at these prices, haveing one far outweighs the price.

Figured I would keep it simple and just to the most recent progression of the car but if anyone wants I have build threads since I started the car 3 years ago.

The car is beautiful.

However, I wanted to give you a heads-up that your racing harness installation is HUGELY unsafe. You are using what are intended to be either 5 or 6 point harnesses but you have installed them without the sub ("crotch") strap(s), no doubt because you would have to cut the seat bottom to install them correctly.

THIS IS INCREDIBLY UNSAFE. In an accident, the occupant will submarine under the belts and into the footwell of the car. Even worse, as the occupant slides down, the camlock on the belts will slide up into the soft organs under the ribs.

If you don't want to cut the seat bottoms, use a 4-point belt with an anti-submarine feature like the Schroth belts have.

My recommendation is to call HMS Motorsport for more info. Joe Marko is an incredible resource when it comes to motorsports safety.

Yea dude, dont skimp out on seatbelts. Im a preety aggressive driver on the track, and always paid money for my raceing cars safty equipment. Never needed them thankfully. But the wreck i got in to monday on the street, just gave me reason to spending that kinda coin on seat belts and Stuff. Was in a stock mustang, and wham, stupid minivan. lets just say insurance is buying me a cadillac escalade, But I was unharmed due to the proper seatbelts. Cant say the same about the mustang though.

Looks good, I lifted a new body 3/4ton right when they came out and it was burly as hell. I dig the tsx too, I've been meaning to buy another ek hatch to jdm out for a mileage-friendly dd.
