Just want to say great forum glad you guys are here.

I have a 99 with 122000 miles and still going pretty good. My automatic transfer case one day started making noise. Sounds like pellets rattling around in there so I drained the oil yesterday to find metal shavings in the oil. Changed it and still has the same noise just wondering how long do I have before it lets me down if anyone had this problem. I do have the clunk when you take off from a stop and put a little to it been reading your post on that about the yoke.

My A/C seems to be going a little crazy. My rear air works fine but do not have very cold air coming from the front vents any ideas

Everything else seems to be working good. Just going to update my steering some change some bushing and what not try to tighten it up.

Well, hope you guys can help maybe even locate a transfer case

welcome to the forum. maybe for the AC its the mode actuator. its like a flapper that send the air to the vents, or floor, etc.
Mine is weak and I have to turn the fan all the way up for it to switch. like, it needs the 'help' of the air stream to make it actually switch modes.

for the transfer case, I will have to let one of the pros help you.either way, welcome, and post some pics of your ride.

Hmm... I'm not a all to experienced with transfer case problems, but from the sounds you are saying it's making it's probably already junk. You said you changed the fluid in it and it's still mkaing that noise, maybe the gears in it are all stripped and ruined, who knows. I'm not a huge fan of automatic transfer cases anyway.

you've chipped some teeth off of a gear in there - any tranny shop should be able to take it apart, and re-build it, it may only need 1 new gear
