Any Idea when the Acadia Denali will be in showrooms? And more importantly, any rumors of when they are making it a Hybrid? My wife wants a new SUV, and loves the Acadia but she wants a Hybrid. You don't happen to work at a GMC/Pontiac dealer on Roosevelt Rd., do you?

There will NOT be a Hybrid version of the current Lambda crossover platform, soon or later. Diesel has been rumored and is possible, but not a Hybrid--as GM said recently, such a system simply won't fit in these vehicles. For 2009, however, they all do get the Direct Injection version of the 3.6L engine (ala current Cadillac CTS and STS) with a bit more power and a slightly different powerband.

As for the Denali, again rumored, but a possibility for sometime in the 2009 model year (or from the start). The full 2009 information will be out next month--or should be--and all will know for sure then.

Correct on the Denali for 2009. No plans for a Hybrid. The Yukon hybrid has finally appeared at one dealership but its for display purposes only at this time. If shes interested in the Acadia stop on by. I am at the dealership on Roosevelt in Villa Park. Thanks
