Hi everyone,
My 2008 Tahoe has service traction control trolling and stabilitrac with check engine light locked in. The light and codes cleared by local mechanic. 15 miles later, messages and light, hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear and right rear wheel was smoking hot when I got it home..
About 2 weeks ago my local mechanic changed out the fuel pump assembly due to corroded lines coming out of the tank. Before the fuel pump replacement I got the tighten gas cap message and check engine light. I did smell gas fumes at that time. Plus the extended crank when starting.
I live in the salt and snow covered Minniesota.
The mechanic says that the modules loose communications once in awhile.
