Hey guys and gals. I'm new to the forum but have owned my '98 Tahoe since 2002. Its got 205K miles, but I've had no real problems with it other than the mystery water leak into the interior that everyone seems to have. Only mod I've done under the hood is an Airaid Intake and the interior is stock. Looks like a great forum...anyone else from Mississippi?

That is one BIG BLACK HOE. Any nappy hair lol.

In all seriousness, welcome to the site. Glad to have another Tahoe/Suburban owner/lover here. You're going to find loads and loads of info, if you havent found that out already.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. The wheels are 16X9 Helo Guns and the tires are 285/75/16 Dayton Timberline MT's.

1999HOE: Thanks man, but I'd never lower at 4X4!!! Hehe

bayou_visions: Thanks, what part of La?

96fleetwood: I sure wish it had 25K..I almost didn't buy it because it had 160K when I found it in 2002, but it had been taken real good care of. I've only put 45K on it in the past 6 years. I only put 3K miles on it this year!

TahoeGoBoom: Thanks, it was definately a job to get all the goo off but was worth it in my opinion. I don't think you'll have to worry too much about paint fade that low.

rockymt21: Thanks man! Explain what you mean by classic? LOL

BigBlack, is it lifted at all? I thought you had to have a lift to fit 285's, for some reason...

No lift...previous owner cranked up the torsion bars. When I had the 285's on the factory wheels they were rubbing during very tight turns. The Helo's are 2 inches wider, but don't rub at all because of the wheels offset.
