First post here and a long one. I have a 2010 Tahoe Z-71 with around 31K.

Tahoe has been at the dealer since last wednsday for the radio not working. Everything on the surface appears to work other than no sound out of speakers for anything. No back up alarm ding, key in ignition, turn signal click etc. No blue tooth and no audio no matter what.

Bose system (no nav or back up camera) What intially happened was after vehicle was driven for a little while the audio system would quit intermittently and then it quit permantly.

Dealer (under warranty) ordered a new amp, installed it after removing front seats to get center console out and still nothing. Since vehicle is all apart they want it left and they put a new radio in and reprogram everything and still the audio is not working right. They claimed they drove it and the first time over railroad tracks everything quit again.

Now the have the headliner down (and have it dirty now, we have the light titanium interior) and they are stumped as to why it is quiting. They did give us a rental vehicle.

I am a former master ASE auto tech (Chrysler, Dodge dealership and Mitsu) So I understand wiring completely etc for repair and diagnois. I am very frustrated as I think the dealer tech doesn't really care about getting this resolved.

So has anyone here else dealt with this issue? The audio lights up on the radio and visually appears as it is wroking in all aspects other than nothing comes out no matter what function is being used:uhoh2:

Do you know if they changed the speakers out, if not that would be my overdue next step.

What they told me today is even more scarry. Service writer said the service manager was working on it. They got the audio to work for a while and then it would cut out again.

They are now blaming the new radio saying the new radio has an issue. They are rather evasive on everything on the phone and like I said as a former tech I really doubt the radio or amp has anything to do with it not working.

I have no condidence in this crew at all at this point. I will go in there tomorrow in person and retrieve some stuff out of the vehicle and I would be willing to bet nobody will be working on it. They have had now 3 1/2 days and in that time all they have done is removed a lot of interior parts and throw new parts at it with no good results............all over a radio. Just crazy.
