just looked up the dnx7120 on Crutchfield and it says it does not fit my 03 ??

They have a great looking deal on the Pioneer avic-d3x, all the reviews are good.
Anyone know anything bad about this unit?

Welcome. Nice truck.
The D3 is nice. Processor speed for the nav is fast. Mapping software and nav features are great. The 3D-hybrid learning processor helps make the gps dead on. Ipod/video ipod integration is pretty slick with the ipod wheel on the touchscreen display. The bluetooth add-on is nice with the capabilities to send your phonebook to the D3 and touchscreen dialpad. You can customize the button colors to perfectly match your interior lights and add your own screensavers. I haven't found anything about the D3 yet that I haven't liked.

Thanks,
I read a review on cnet that said the single disc capability was limiting? does this come in to play? are you constantly swapping out discs? Do you know whats new on the D3x??

Ahh, yes. The single slot dilema. Aside from my D3, I have three other monitors in the truck with a seperate dvd player that is connected to the D3's a/v input. I also have an ipod cable and cd changer, so I rarely have to swap discs. The only time I pull out the nav disc is when my wife and kids want to watch different movies while we're on a trip; so I'll have one movie playing in the D3 and another movie in my other dvd player. So yes, that is one drawback of the D3. If you want to listen to a cd, the D3 will go into memory nav mode. It will still get you where you want to go, but some of the nav features are unavailable w/o the nav disc.

As long as I can listen to/control my ipod, use my iphone handsfree and have a fully functioning Nav I am a happy boy!
Is this all possible?
Plus, I have the factory CD Changer installed under the radio, is that compatible with the D3?

Toss the factory changer for a 1/2 din eq to boost the preout on the d3 (if you plan on installing aftermarket amps). I don't believe the stock changer is compatible with the d3 but I'm sure JK will correct me if I'm wrong. I like the new kenwood for the dual zone and built in navi so you can watch 2 different movies on the same unit simultaneously. For the money the d3 is pretty hard to beat and the navi is great, pioneer has some pretty seamless integration for all the items you listed. Congrats on the profession grade purchase

Your oe changer won't work with an aftermarket hu, but you will be able to control your ipod and use the bluetooth features while keeping the nav fully functional. You'll have to purchase the Pioneer ipod cable and the btb200 bluetooth interface though.

I don't think they have the profile for the radio on the site yet, I tried diff vehicles to see if there was one it said it fit and it doesn't fit anything. I emailed them last night to find out for sure. I'll let you know when I receive a response.

Thanks for shopping the Crutchfield website.

I’ll be glad to help with your question about installing the new Kenwood DNX7120 DVD navigation receiver. Unfortunately, our research team has not yet obtained one of these receivers to research for specifications, features, and fit for our database. As a result, they’ve not yet confirmed that this receiver is a recommended fit for your GMC Yukon. I’m sorry I don’t have better news right now.

However, this receiver is indeed on our list to fully research. Once our research team has documented specifications, we’ll have more information as to whether it will fit your particular vehicle.

Please check our online vehicle selector in a few weeks - we may have information listed for you then. Here's a shortcut to our online vehicle selector:

Thanks for your e-mail. Please let me know whenever you need anything else.

Straight from Crutchfield about the DNX7120. And if the 7120 fits the 8120 should also because its pretty much the same deck just with extra bells and whistles.
