Ok im not actually looking for a tahoe, my sister is but im trying to do a little research for her. She like the look and the size of the tahoe but not the gas milage. I suggested the Hybrid and she like the idea of that, but what i need now is some personall experiense from people who have them. I would like to now realistic mpg's since i now people are seeing things much better then the rated mpgs. Any input would be helpful, thanks.

My 4WD with 4.10:1 gears, at 1500 miles, is averaging like 14.5 - 15 mpg, I expect it to increase a small amount after break-in calibration, Amsoil throughout, and especially a tune. A friend has a Hybrid and I'm not sure but I wanna say he said he was looking at like 28 or 29 avg, this is before full break-in. The Hybrid has, I think, a 6.0 or 6.2 motor, and most amenities, but you'll have to add nav (the full size screen is standard just for its modes), there's no power liftgate, roof rack, or fog lights. These are for weight and aerodynamics.

Thanks for the input. I have read a few magazine reviews on the hybrid, but you can never trust a magazine review on there milege since they are usually testing how fast they are. If they hybrids only got there advertised milage i don't think it would be worth it, but if some people are getting mid-to-high 20s with the hybrid i think it would be worth it.

Anybody else?
