New here, Just got 13 Tahoe, Help with Garage Door opener??

HI all, new here..

Ok so here is my issue.. Been trying for a week now.. I can not under any circumstance program the remote buttons in the tahoe to my garage door.. I am at a new house and it is a brand new garage door... The company that makes the remote in the tahoe is no longer in business to call.. No matter what i do to try and program it, it will not work. I have watched Youtube and others and still have not been able to.. Maybe im doing something wrong or I am starting to think maybe it is not compatible with my garage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

What type of opener is on the garage? Craftsman, genie? Etc... My craftsman opener has a button on the say "passenger side" of the opener and I press that and walk to my truck and hold whatever one to program for 3-5 seconds and boom... Magic happens. But not sure on other brands...

Its a brand new liftmaster.. I have tried with the opener and the learn button still no good.. doesnt make sense to me i have programmed other cars with no issue

does it have a square button around or near the door opening adjusting screws?

I have a yellow learn circle, up and down triangle and a black square/rectangle button that is between the up and down triangles..

Try pushing the square button and then go to the truck and press and hold whatever button until it opens/closes. I just redid mine cause it seemed to unprogram itself

But dont you have to put tahoe in program mode first?? I have no idea what the black square button does but i will try it...

black swuare button is the adjust ment button..... says nothing to do with programming

ok then its probally the triangle looking button, the program mode on the truck I believe was hold button for 5 seconds and it should just pick up the signal from the opener.

No I know where the learn button is and I've done all that it just does not accept it no matter what I do. Like I stated I program my other vehicles without a problem this vehicle it just will not program no matter what I do

Hmmmm... does the green light illuminate when the button is pressed in the truck? could be a issue with the truck, ill look for my owners manual when I get home and check the process again. could be a issue with the homelink in the truck.

Its not homelink, its the other one.. theybarent in business anymore either.. i forgot the name of it.. its 3 buttons and 3 lights
