Hey whats up ya'll. I've been having a problem with my 02 Yukon for the past 5 days. The SES light has come on and starts to blink whenever I get it going on down the road. :mad3: Went to Autozone, they said cylinder #2 misfire. Spent last night installing new spark plugs, didn't do nothing. What now?

Since the coils and spark plug wires are the same for each cylinder, I would swap out cylinder #4 coil and plug wire to cylinder#2. If the problem corrected itself and switched to #4, I would bet that the coil is the problem.

Also on a side note, with your truck being an 02, i would also replace the plug wires.

Thanks, I'll give that a try this evening.

I was thinking since it only has 63,xxx miles on it, I was hoping the wires would be ok. Its been a champ before this happen. But if I have too, I'll change out the wires also.

Just got talking to my buddy, he said to check out the the wires again, and the coil. He also said it might be the fuel injector. Hopefully its not that.

I'll tell you, it's been a very rare thing for me to experience bad injectors on the gmt800 generation tahoe. Now I would have almost gauranteed and injector issue on the old spider fuel injection setup. But thats not the case here.

If however its any consolation to you, if you had continued to have a misfire issue, my next step would be looking at fuel injectors.

BTW, dont fear digging into r&r injector, its really easy.

Cool thanks man. Just hating how the Kon is running, can't wait to have it back running good. Still at work, was thinking of leaving early so I can get started on it. :D

Well I went home yesterday, and tried to figure out what was going on with it. All wires are working, they each have spark. Its still running bad, need to have a diagnostic test done again.

Well found out its the #2 cyclinder fuel injector. Did different test to find out exactly. Should get to new one this week, try to install, but if not this weekend. It gets too dark early, plus we got some snow.
