My name is Will first time posting, I hoping you guys can point me in the right direction with my problem!

I have a 97 Tahoe LT 4X4 and I have a oil leak I found it when i was changing my pitman arm not sure where its coming from! The leak is in the front of the truck, I had a local shop look at the truck and they said that it seems to be coming from the front seal! I not sure where that is so I need to know if that something that can be change while the motor is in the truck? Has anyone had to replace the seal?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

If it is indeed your front seal, you'll need to purchase a timing cover as well. The plastic timing cover shouldn't be reused. It will come with a front seal in it. Also install a wear sleeve on the balancer. It can be done in the truck. You'll have to drop the oil pan as well. May as well service the timing chain while you're in there. I did this in about five hours in my driveway.
