Hello,

I purchased a 2007 Denali that already had some nice 24" Diablo rims, with Strata 295/35R24, AA traction, A temp tires.
But they are HORRIBLE in snow...i slide all over in places my mom's 4Runner with normal AT tires has no trouble.

I drive a lot in the snow and ice in the winter and these tires are not gonna cut it. Does anyone know of some good AT tires i can purchase for these rims? Should i go to 305/35/R24 ?

wide is good for sand, but in snow you want skinnier tires to dig better and get better traction. Your best bet if you really want good snow preformance would be to get some snow tires on the stock rims and trade them out depending on the season.

I don't have the stock rims. I purchased it with these wheels. So does anybody know if they even make an AT type tire for 24" rims??
Or do i have to buy a whole new set of tires??

Im not sure as the only different rims I put on my trucks are from the dealers accessory center, But I doubt it and what most people do on here is get (or keep) their stock rims and put a good pair of snow tires on there and swap rims.

I wouldn't run 24" rims for winter, especially with all the salt and gravel they put on our roads. What I did was just buy some separate 17" rims for winter and put them on my Denali. There's lots of options for AT tires in 17".

Yeah, those look pretty nice on your rig. The guy at Les Schwab said they have a good sale price on American Racing Mohave 17" rims (black)...normally $300 on sale for $157. And then some Wild Country AT tires. Is that a good option?

In searching AT tires for 24" rims, i also keep coming across these tires:
Falken Ziex S/TZ-04, 295/35R (or 40R) - 24

Any thoughts on these?

While wider tires are generally not better for snow, _any_ all terrain tire is going to perform better than what you have on there now (highway tires).

I have Toyo Open Country A/T's (not M/T's) on mine (22") and love them. I forget what sizes they have in 24". Click the link in my sig for pics of the tires. We just had 8" of snow and they were terrific.

Also, another tire to check out is the Cooper Zeon LTZ.

bad63lac,

Your truck looks nice with those wheels, and i checked out the Cooper Zeon LTZ's. But what i'm finding is that i can get new 17" American Racing teflon rims and Wild Country AT tires for about $350/wheel, less than the Coopers alone!
You still got your 17" suburban wheels for sale?

Wild country's are decent.. I had a set on my Ram. I like the BFG T/A better tho.

Yes I do. They have the stock tires mounted on them w/ TPMS sensors inside.
