Need Advice on Extended Warranty

HELLO MY FELLOW TAHOE DRIVERS...
I Love my Tahoe, but I'm getting frustrated with the servicing and repairs. I just moved 2 Phoenix, AZ from Los Angelos, CA. I'm out of factory warranty and need a referral 2 an honest repair facility or mechanic... Also, If any of you have general maintenance tips you can recommend -- And I would like 2 know what are the members opinions on Extended warranties because I am In the process of purchasing a contract with http://www.chevroletwarranties.com - I am reviewing the contract and plan on purchasing soon, has anyone dealt with this company before?

All I hear about warranties is 1. you want to make sure you get a "wear and tear" warranty, not the lesser "mechanical failure" ones. and 2. many aftermarket warranty companies are much cheaper and more comprehensive than those tied to the dealers/manufacturers. and 3. know if there is a deductible. You should know all of your options before signing. Outside of that, it's good to have that peace of mind. Just get the best coverage at the best price. Good luck...

I bought an extended Warranty on my wife's last vehicle, and the company went out of business-Warranty Gold. I never got a penny of my money back, and lost 2 years of coverage. In the meantime, I had to buy a Re-Built transmission, at $3,200.00 This was on a Pontiac Montana.

Thanks 4 your help -- This company seems pretty legit. They are members of the BBB and dont have any complaints filed. They also gave me tons of options and explained the differences 2 me. I got 2 see a couple different contracts before I decide 2 purchase. Thank you Black Dog, for your reply, I think I needed friendly reassurance 2 proceed with the purchase. :thumbsup:
