So does it donwload directly to the PC as you drive or store it some place until you plug it into a PC?

Your log file is stored on the cable, so you just have to email the file to justin from the cable (when plugged into computer of course).

With the traditional tune, you provide your VIN, answer a set of questions and we will mail out a tuned PCM to you.

With the scan cable tune, you pay a security deposit and we ship out a cable that you use to collect data from your vehicle as you drive. That data is then emailed in to us to be analyzed. In some cases, the data will show a mechanical condition that needs to be corrected before the tuning process can proceed. If this is the case, we'll do our best to help you determine the cause of the problem so that your tune will perform as well as it possibly can. Once all problems are squared away, we'll then build a tune for you based on that data and ship a tuned PCM out to you. You'll then use the scan cable to perform a crank relearn procedure and create a final log with the new PCM in place. The scan cable is then returned for a refund of your security deposit.

Jenna, I emailed Justin yesterday and called today with no response. You guys must be busy. I have heard good things on your tune and I want to get on the list for a scan cable on my tahoe. PM me if you need more info. Thanks!

Just checked and we got your message. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel so things have been a bit hectic. Justin is currently working on yesterday mornings emails so you should have an answer back by tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delay!

Ha- thanks for the tip! We went with dark cabinets so we were worried about making the kitchen too dark with the granite. We took some samples home, went back to the store and wound up going with a darker one! We went with Volvic Blue (I think that is what it is called- Justin makes fun of the name so I could be wrong).

I read in one of the posts here that it is possible for a PCM tune to shorten the life of a motor. NOT that the cable tune does, but i was just wondering how could a PCM tune shortent he life of your engine?

If you have a bad tune, with bad settings then yes, you can shorten the life of the tranny, motor or both.

As a matter of fact, both the tunes that Justin and I had (years ago) before he started doing his own tuning were awful tunes. The tuner we had used did not even take into account that Justin had a supercharger, and I didnt get the settings that I wanted on the Tahoe.

The Diablo Preditor isn't bad AS LONG AS you never need to deal with them. There customer service is absolutely ZERO. They suck. They never return phone calls or emails. I am pretty sure who ever claims to be in charge is a friggin COWARD
I used mine to do the preloaded tune. Going slow down residential streets, the tranny shifts real hard, a little scarry on higher milage.
As for the plus side. You can download the info of your vehicle and email it to Diablo Sport. They will do a custom tune and email the program to you. Just download it to your preditor and plug her in and you will have the custom tune to your vehicles performance. That was why I got mine. I'm a control freak, and do not want to depend on another person to tune.

But aren't you still having Diablo do your tune? What is their tune turn around time if you can't get a hold of them? Can you ask for specific things to be done?

if a company is that bad on customer service, regardless how perceived 'good' the product is, I go where there is great CS.

To me it's more than a 'one time' purchase. If I buy and use something, and like it, I'll tell all my friends. If it's bad, I won't use it, and tell all my friends :D

I have the cable right now and Justin is working on mine. He's been very helpful so far and answers all emails and questions clearly.

It is easier to do than I thought.. I even did a run for my fathers Silverado which I will sent to Blackbear in due time to get that one done as well..
