the one sticking up behind the tb? it was hooked up to the second to the last pic. I took it off the other day cuz I know its supposed to go from the manifold vacuum to the heater core c/o valve just hadnt got any new hose to hook them up yet. I believe thats the port you are talking about.

oh ok. so does it go from the manifold to the selinoid and then to the vacuum valve in the heater hoses? the selinoid has two ports. I think everything else is hooked up correctly now.

Do you have the underhood retractable light on the fender by the air cleaner? looks like a battery feed to either that or the hood light.

well truck is up n running now lol. thanks for all the help guys. just a lil info to add to this post...without the vacuum lines entirely hooked up the brakes were pretty spongy on the pedal, obviously due to the vacuum issues, but now that everything is hooked up the pedal feels pretty normal. my main issue turned out to be the vacuum hose from the heater core selenoid to the valve was wrong. I replaced it because it was dry rotted but at the time it was only hooked up to the selenoid due to the fact it was so bad. I assumed it went to the extra (vent) port in the egr system so hooked it up there. WRONG! so now that I replaced it with new hose and hooked it up right truck runs nice n smooth with alot firmer feeling brake pedal. thanks again.
still open to that extra connection if anyone has any idea of what it supposed to go to.

You talking about that black and orange wired plug? It is more than likely a battery feed to one of the 2 lights..... Gm usually will use an orange as a battery feed....
