I've been lurking since I bought my '98 2-door sport a few months ago, and I want to say thanks for all the great info.
I got a GREAT deal on my Tahoe, but it needs a little paint work. The front grille shell has been sandblasted almost bare by bugs and rocks, and one of the fender flares has a spot that needs to be touched up. It's two-tone red over "black". My local dealership claims they can't get the paint anymore. Has anyone found a rattle can color that's a close match? I'm pretty handy with a paint gun, but I'd rather not repaint the lower half, bumpers, and flares if I can get away with it.
I just used some pretty high quality bedliner to paint my frame, and if I have to repaint all of the black I'm considering using it. Anyone got any useful info?
