Luggage rack

I wanted to remove the cross bars on the roof rack, do they slide out or do i need to remove one side of the rack? It may help alittle on gas

You have to remove the rear end caps -- and that can be tricky.

It's really easy to remove the entire rack. I'd just remove the rack (you can take it off in one piece -- cross bars and all), and then access the tabs under the rear caps much more easily. Slide the bars off, then remount the side rails. The whole process MIGHT take you 10 minutes.
