LT Autoride question...

When I bought my Tahoe, I knew that it was an LT. Then I saw that it said LT Autoride. Was the autoride a separate model or was it an addon package?
Are there any drawbacks to this suspension package?

Autoride was not a seperate model, just an add on to the LT 4x4 package. I don't know of any drawbacks, I just didn't choose it when I bought mine because I thought it may not do as well off road as having the options of 4x4 HI, LO and Auto 4x4.

Ok. Mine also has the options of 4x4 HI, LO and Auto 4x4, as well as the autoride. Do you mean that you thought you couldnt combine them?

i have an SLT with auto ride, it levels the rear end, as well as when i tow a heavy load it keeps the rear end from sagging.

i find it helps me off road as it levels the rear end and gives me more stability.

you can have autoride and all the optons for 4wd as i also have the 4 high, 4 low, 2 high and auto 4wd.

only drawback i can think of is its an extra thing to deal with, the airbags need to be replaced every once and a while and the pump to fill them with air is also somthing that will eventually die.

Oh, yeah my dealer told me that it wasn't an option when I bought my truck. Maybe they just didn't have any in their inventory.
